Default Happy running T again.

Just getting around to posting this but,, the last 2 warm seasons my T hasn't been running good at all, to even get it to go down the road decent the spark had to be advanced all the way down,, so i cleaned the timer out, cleaned the carb out, checked the plugs, no matter what i did it just didn't do anything for it. So i decided it was time for a brand new timer and roller. After pulling the roller this is what i found. Gotta say the car has never ran better. Sooo check your rollers.

It is hard to believe you had not found that when you cleaned it up.

Congratulations, on figuring the problem out on your own! I can't tell you the number of times I would have kicked my own A-- for not being able to see the Forest for the Trees!
They are a lot more fun when they are running well! Dan Ph. #: 701-200-2319

If you pack the timer with Vaseline or red bearing grease that won't happen again.

I believe Ford recommend Vaseline but how does it hold up to the heat? Pretty sure a decent high temp grease like Royce is using wil be OK.

Interesting,, so why is grease better then oil, wouldn't you want to use something that flows? Thanks a bunch.
