Default EZ BOY Interior

Here are some pictures of the completed interior on my 48 Merc. It is EZ BOY upholstery custom sewn for the seats and the EZ Boy panels are the same style but were not cut to size. I had the upholstery professionally installed. The original interior was in poor condition. I am especially pleased with how my upholsterer matched the original arm rests.

Getting ready to order my EZ Boy seat cover for my '36 pickup.
I already stepped up and bought new seat bottom and seat back spring assemblies. Seems pricey, but I'm sure my backside will appreciate not sitting on 77 yr old rusted springs.
Love the way yours turned out!

Very nice! I had never heard of EZ Boy until now, and discovered they are part of LeBaron Bonney... learn something new every day (I've heard that's a good thing!)

The duct tape covers the areas that were in a fire years ago. It seems the car was being driven by a lady who caught the seat on fire. Some friends (?) of hers gave the car a name, Miss Fire1 and painted the name on the fenders. Small wonder the car was stored in a shed all those years

Laryh......

You did a nice job on that car ! Sweet ! I called the ez boy people and got a kit price for my '40 Sedan. You get everything you need to redo a seat including the hog rings, seat foam etc., but it is expensive ! What are your overall thoughts of quality, etc. ?

Thx.....Mike

When did you order the interior? I ordered an Ultraleather Rolled and Pleated Cover and seat repair kit from EZ-Boy Three years ago. Turned out great. Now they are offering original coverings only as far as I can tell. EZ had been in business since 1940, and appeared to go under about a year ago. Maybe they were just bought.

Let me know if they still offer other materials.

Cheers, Don

I put E-Z Boy seat covers on my 50 Fordor. It was simple to do and they were
nice people to deal with. Delivered on the day they said it be. Mark

I looked at the web site and it appears that you can still get the custom upholstery. If you start an on-line order it will show the different patterns they offer.

I am very pleased with the EZ BOY quality and service. They are owned by LeBaron Bonney who have always supplied excellent factory original kits. You do have a choice of materials, colors and styles to choose from. I bought the two seats, 4 side panels, headliner and one extra yard of material. Everything else was supplied by my upholstery shop. I was lucky as I bought my stuff on sale. If you go to the EZ BOY website get on their email list and watch for the sales.

Laryh.........I bet you saved some $$. Just the front seat kit is $1024.00. The good thing is that you get everything including the new padding, etc. Its all in the original material. That's my Winter project.
