Re: Florida
John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, along with the mansion and circus museum, in Sarasota is a MUST!! Plan on spending most of the day.
Go to TRIPADVISOR.com enter the town i.e. Tampa, etc and check on things to do and restaurants. Hit the residential areas at Ft. Myers beach. Get the movie BENEATH THE 12 MILE REEF and go to Tarpon Springs, walk the town and have some Greek food. If you have the time Everglades City south of Ft. Myers, for the 'Glades. Stay at Ivey House and visit the Rod & Gun Club. Weather over the next week will be in the low 80's, water is in the mid '60's. http://timdorsey.com/home.html http://www.randywaynewhite.com/Site2/Welcome%21.html for a couple of Florida authors!! And if you really have some extra time, take the Tamiami Trail, and do the Keys, stoping at Alabama Jack's next to the Card Sound bridge, the Seven Mile bridge and Key West. Re: Florida
There is an abundance of things to do in the Tampa Bay Area that are car related, as previously mentioned, there are also exceptional sights to see on and around our beaches, also previously mentioned! I recommend the audio tour of the Ford-Edison Winter Estates in Ft. Myers, our group the Cigar City Flatheads just toured the Estates on the Florida "Barner's Bash" cruise.

Re: Florida
If your into history there is a WWII Liberty ship ( the USS AMERICAN VICTORY) next to the aquarium in Tampa and the Fantasy of Flight aircraft museum is about 40 miles out of Tampa.

Re: Florida
Don't miss the Don Garlits museum of drag racing in Ocala. A great collection of collector cars, lots of flathead stuff and dragsters from back in the day. Plan on spending several hours there.

Re: Florida
If you enjoy GM muscle cars try Muscle Car City. It is not far from where you will be visiting. It was in an earlier post but I want to encourage you to visit the Edison and Ford winter homes. The estates are a nice tour.

Other than car stuff, and you like Aviation, here's a show that you don't want to miss if you're in the area. Ken
