Default Oil pan clearance

Installing 8BA in 1937 pu will the oil pan clear? If not what will?

The 8BA car center sump oil pan will not clear the 37 tie rod, use a 49-50 merc oil pan or an 8BA truck rear sump pan. Walt

Walt's correct. Make very sure you get the correct matching starter
plate that goes with the Merc oil pan. I used this one on my 40.

The 8BA truck pan did not work on my 40 installation. But I have a dropped axle which may be the reason, had to use the Merc pan.
