Default ignition coils

Hi , I just wanted to ask a question about coils. Some experts say to use the
Bosch coil with the internal resistor if your using a point system, then the same experts post a reply saying that they like to use a 1.5 ohm coil with a ballast resistor . The question , does it matter which method you use , won't the outcome be the same , or am I missing something. We are talking about points not electronic ignition.

Thank You

Shouldn't matter, but I think Bubba recommends the Blue Bosch coils. He has posted several times with recommendations. Also, might take a look at his new site, he is posting a lot of information on it.
