There are only two colors, ivory and black. l949's were ivory. All the supplies sell them.

Seems that you may have mixed years of dash controls or maybe a transition car. The green bible calls out the following gear shift ball colors. '49-White (8A 7213), '50-Ivory (0A 7213-A), '51-'53-Black (0A 7213-B). No info. on thread size/pitch.
* Dash knobs on all '49s I've had or seen are round chrome, (8A 17513-B), however the bible lists a plastic knob, (8A 17573-A), no color specified, for base(?) car, '50 Deluxe was Ivory with depressed center, (0A 17513-A), '50 Custom Deluxe added a chrome plated insert to center, (0A 17513-B), the '50 Crestliner knob was Black with depressed center and the chrome plated insert, (0A 17513-C).
* I looked up the wiper control knob as reference.
Hope this helps and the book is correct.
Howard

I always look at all the Shoebox Fords on Ebay, great for collecting images.

The '49 (standard model) has round plastic knobs on dash controls and door window winder. Chrome knobs came only on Custom models, although many owners switched plain plastic knobs for the chrome ones back in the day......Bob L
