Battery charging
Help a tired mind out. Six volt battery, positive ground. If I put a trickle charger on the battery while it is installed - trickle charger red clip to which battery post? Sorry, but as I said mind is tired.

Re: Battery charging
I think most chargers have a red wire for the positive and black for the negative terminals. The battery and charger don't care which terminal is ground, so red to positive and black to negative. Look at the ends of your charger leads (or where the wires come out of the charger) to see if they indicate which is positive and which is negative, just to be sure.

Re: Battery charging
No worries about charging while its installed. Hook the positive on the charger to the positive on the battery. Negative on the charger to the negative on the battery. This is regardless of the polarity of the car's ground.
