Default Back from paint...

More motivation to the finish line getting my grille back from paint.

Thanks Gary for the tip on Vintage Vehicles in Wautoma who happened to have this diamond in the rough.

Especially nice having the final piece to a project come from an area where I spent most of my childhood summers.

The guys at Vintage Vehicles are indeed Awesome. They have polished a lot of stainless and aluminum for me.

I wish I could find the center stainless piece for my '39 pickup. Everyone I come across is beaten up badly. Your grille looks good.

Looking good! I know the price wasn't cheap but it is what it is. The only thing that was a better deal for myself was the N.O.S. hood on my '39 pickup just over an hour away! Some of these things just happen to fall in our laps but others need someone to post what's out there for members of this forum in need, even if you don't know it.

Looks great but it needs some splattered bugs on it.

Seth, I have utilized the guys at Vintage Vehicles in Wautoma, WI. a number of times when all I had to work with was crumpled, twisted, rare parts. Each and every time, the piece(s) came back appearing better than NOS.
Those guys create magic.
Buy the beat-up piece and send it to them. You will be pleased.

Doesn't look rough to me!

In '68 bought a dentless '38 half-ton from a close-by-county farmer(Wis) $150. Repaint appeared to have been done by a barn brooom; silverstreaked over random surface rust over Ford green. (outside-parked.) Orig flthd. Orig bald 'Ford' spare. excellent runner.
