Default 1934 Ford bumpers

I am getting closer to that day when the build on my 3 window will be done.
Today, I went out to my shop and unwrapped my newly returned, shiny chrome bumpers.
I am now puzzled. I guess that when I took them off the car, back in May 2013, I just did not pay enough attention to them at that time.

Today, I see that one is straight and the other is "curved" from tip to tip.
Is one the front and the other the rear, or did my chrome guy somehow bend one of them.
I would not know how he could since these are the original spring steel bumpers not some cheap Chinese knock offs.

I have a second set of bumpers that are not matched but both of them are straight.

Anyone with knowledge on this, I really would appreciate a good answer.
Thank you.

Both front and back 34 car bumpers have a dip in them. Commercial (PU) are straight.

They are both the same, mine were. Check your bumper brackets, brackets could be bent? Bruce

Opps, curve meaning on the face......... The bar (bumper) 177757-E Chrome for 34 was the same front and rear. They will flex with the brackets.

Place the two center bolts in loose, flex around behind the end of bracket, will be in a little strain, place end bolt through bumper and bracket. Tighten them up equal, it might correct the problem you think you have, let us know.

When I got my bumpers back from the platers they
were straight. I did like the above post and installed
the middle bolts and pulled the ends around.
That took care of the problem.

I always thought that they were the same, but now, I'm not sure.
I have a pair of NOS bumpers, that the previous owner of my '34, bought back in the early 60s.
One IS CURVED more than the other. They are not here for me to photograph. Sorry !
