Made some more progress on the wood installation this week. It's gone together very nicely so far. I took the front fenders, radiator shell and tailgate to the sandblaster a few days ago. I also got a brand new Brookville bed on order. They said it should be ready in two or three weeks.

Jake,
I looks like you are doing a great restoration job on the pickup. Keep up the good work and keep us posted with lots of pictures. Also, thanks for answering my pickup questions.

Still making some progress. Finished welding up doors and about done with body work on the doors. Put a fender well in for the side mount spare. Patched up a rough set of splash aprons. Got a new set of running boards but still waiting for Brookville to finish up the bed.

I picked up the bed from Brookville a few weeks ago. They make some excellent products out there and super quality! The bed is perfect. Currently getting it ready for primer. Also been working on splash aprons and radiator shell.

Progress has been a bit slow lately. Got the engine and tranny out and taken apart. Hopefully get the rest of the chassis apart soon and off to sandblast. Body work is about done but going to wait until spring to paint.

Love the trucks. I would like a 30/31 ccpu. I was even thinking If I came across the right ccpu I would trade for my 30 deluxe roadster

Is the Deluxe Roadster bigger inside then the roadster pickup? From dash to seatback, that is.

That is what I think was the most fun of restoring an incomplete car.

Going to swap meets and finding the bit you need.

Gives you heaps of inspiration when you get home and offer the part up to the car.

I go to to about ten swaps a year, so I get about ten shots of inspiration each year.

Pooch, I agree! Hunting down parts for this project has been a fun challenge! I try to go to as many swap meets as I can throughout the year.

Jake,
We haven't heard anything about the progress of your restoration of the 29 pickup for over 9 months. It looks like you are doing a great job. How's it coming?

I know, Its been awhile! I am still working on the truck. Progress has slowed due to my new job but I am still getting things done. I went to Hershey a few weeks ago and picked up a set of rear fenders and door latches for the truck. I hope to start painting body parts soon. I decided to try something different on this restoration and I powder coated nearly all the chassis components. Looks sooo nice.....hopefully it holds up well. I will post pics soon!!
