Cap identification...
I'm cleaning out stored stuff. Located some caps (gas/water?) I used to own chevs , so maybe ford, maybe not. I used to also own '29 sport coupe, so ? Some of these (most) have threads inside caps. Can anyone say, for sure ford or what ? Also, I think that the hood hold downs are '30 , anyone say for sure ?

Re: Cap identification...
Last picture, top left would fit my 29 Chevy. Middle top looks like it would fit my 28-9 Model A's.

Thanks ! Could the middle top and right top cap be '29 water and gas caps. They both screw on and are plated same same..maybe nickel/chrome ? I'm going to say that you are right and/or close on the '29 chev cap, as I did own a '29 chev 50 some yrs ago . Loved the way chev had that OHV head thing down way back then also. Old Neal Jern made a living from those 4cyl heads ('28). He was a nice man also... I'm thinking now that the bottom two caps are '30/'31 Ford gas/water? Anyone else think so ? Re: Cap identification...
Yes, the top middle looks like the early Model A cap with a slight recess, and the top right looks like the more common 28-9 radiator cap that doesn't have the slight recess around the outer edge. I don' know about the lower caps.

RG&JS 13-6 Revised 1994 HOOD LATCHES (CLIPS) The hood latches had forged handles in 1928 through early 1929 and pressed steel in 1929 through 1931. The 1928-29 latches each had three mounting screws and the 1930-31 latches had two 10-32 round-head slotted black enamel machine screws. The latches were mounted so that the edge on the bracket kept them from falling inward. All should latch the hood firmly. See that the brackets are not installed backwards on 1930-31 cars. In the interest of preservation, hood hook covers are acceptable and no points should be deducted
