Morning .....

I made my weekly check on my cars in Winter storage and guess what.....I shaved off some Irish Spring Soap and placed shaved pieces on each Dryer Sheet in my '40. Made my check yesterday and the little bastards ate the soap on the sheets upfront and kindly left some poop !

Looking for Plan "B" now !!

I put good old fashioned baited mouse traps around my car. They like peanut butter and seem to go for that before getting into the car. So far so good.

Had the mice in my garage and then in my kitchen two weeks ago. They stole the bait off the snap traps and didn't set them off. Got some sticky traps and that was the end of them.

I like the peanut butter covered water bottle in a 5 gallon bucket trap. You tube it. You can catch a lot of mice in one of those.

I go all in. Sonic unit, mouse X pellets glue and regular traps. I then use mint mouse repellant in the car. From what I hear, the dryer sheets and irish spring both changed formulas. so far I have gotten one mouse in the glue trap and no other issues.

I found out that the little bastards like solid, slab Styrofoam as well as Styrofoam peanuts. Had a pair of NOS aluminum heads sitting in the box of peanuts that they had previously been shipped to me in. Went to look at the heads again a couple of years after I put them in the garage on a shelf. Cardboard box was gnawed-open and the heads both had corrosion spots where the little frikkers had whizzed on them. They did the same thing with another box out there that had a previously-purchased (yet un-opened) mini refrigerator in it. Finally went to open and use the unit and found that the slabs of Styrofoam used to protect the outsides of the fridge had been gnawed-on so badly that the container was full of styro-dust and chunks. I tossed that one! DD

Put twist ties on the old fashion snap traps with the metal tang. They won't clean them off anymore. Coworker taught me that one has a very low fail rate.

What RalphM says about the 5 gallon bucket trap works! We set one of those up at the hunting cabin during deer season and we were catching mice every night. I was amazed because there was little or no sign of mice in the cabin. Made a believer out of me.

The wife threatened to leave if I didn't get rid of them. After two weeks she was still here so I got rid of the pests as one pest is all I could take. Mark

Next time, tie a piece of monofilament fishing line in a small loop around the bait on the snap trap. When they try to steal it, their teeth will snag the line and they will set it off every time.

I had problem in barn, used pellets which they eat and take back to nest for the family. Also hang a bag of moth balls under hood of tractor so they don't eat wiring. Been doing it for 20 years and every now and then after winter I find a couple dead ones. Keep the pellets year round.

Yep, I've them eat the Irish Spring as well. I'm sorta glad to read this, as people would not believe me and thought I was nuts.

All you need is a 1/4 inch thick sheet of ice about 1 foot square with a 1 inch round hole melted in the middle.Next, sprinkle about 5-6 frozen peas around the edge of the hole.When the mouse comes to take a pea, kick him in the ice hole.

get the trap called walk the plank it,s cheap so far since aug i have cought over 200 mice in the barn

Oil drain pan with some drained coolant/ anti freeze.
Also kills any thing else that might drink it.
