Replacement for oil bath filter
Hello all,
This is for a 1941 Ford Super Deluxe with a single Holley 94. What are the best options for replacing the stock oil bath filter with a paper element filter. This is intended to be a reliable driver and not a show car. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Replacement for oil bath filter
Although this is not a '41 oil bath the same method can be applied.
Filter sizes to fit your application can be looked up here----- https://www.knfilters.com/search/univ2.aspx?id=S0001

Re: Replacement for oil bath filter
A oil bath will have a much higher particle capture rate than a K&N, but you still have the same maintance just more often with the K&N( clean out the dirty oil, add new oil

Re: Replacement for oil bath filter
This was my solution to put a 10 inch air cleaner on my flathead. I had a
crusty oil bath air cleaner that was on a 39 engine. I cut the bottom out of it and then matched it to a new air cleaner ($25 from O'Rileys) The bottom hole is set up for a 4 barrel. Then tacked the two together and now you have an air cleaner that will fit perfectly. Fram makes a 2 3/4 inch filter that I used. This will flow plenty of air. |
