Default Which accelerator bracket?

Hi, I have an early 1930 Tudor and I'm trying to figure out which accelerator bracket to use (see photos). Does it matter which one? Any recommendations on restoration of these? Thanks all!

The one on the right is June 1929 to Sept. 1930.

Will either one fit a May, 1930? If so, which one is a better design?

Either one will fit your car, it just depends on how correct you want to be. I would look at the wear on the balls and overall condition and use the best one.

How do you disassemble the early one for restoration, or for that matter, how did they make it on the day.

The one on the right looks like the straight part of the rod between the two supports has a slight bend that needs to be straightened. Also the first few inches under the button should have a slight arc to follow the center of the hole in the wood as the pedal is pushed down. In your picture the arc looks like it's curved the wrong direction, so I'd check it before painting and installing it. I've had to repair bends in several of these linkage parts.

I'd sandblast that assembly as pictured, then blow air into the moving joints as you work the linkage back and forth to get rid of any grit. Paint it and be sure to keep the moving parts well oiled after it's installed.

The number stamped on my frame is: *A3444674*

Yours is 129,688 older than mine.

Most Model A parts books shows month of manufacture Frame Numbers.

Maybe I'll have a look..
