1935 Grille Emblem - Original??
Recently obtained a 1935 grille emblem that the seller thought was original but wasn't sure. There's no part # on it other than R-AB U.S.A. - hard to tell for sure, could also be R-AD U.S.A. Anybody able to tell from either this or the pictures if it's an original?

Iwould think if it were original it would have a ford part # cast into it.

That's an original and looks to be NOS. RAD (Ross Ad Seal) and Fox made them for Ford.Never seen one with a part number.

It's definitely an original. The repos that I have seen do not have the clip riveted to the face plate.

Re: 1935 Grille Emblem - Original??
Thanks for the replies - I'm pretty sure that it's never been on a car (the inside is actually a lot cleaner than it appears in the picture) and it's great to hear that it's an original - like others I thought it should have a part# on it, and deuce lover made my day with his information. I looked in the catalogue and the repros that Bob Drake sells now do have the clip riveted to the face plate, but there are others for sale on eBay which are not and have a much different setup. Thanks again for the replies.

So I guess that pretty much further confirms what Deuce Lover stated above, as far as their being 2 suppliers of the emblems to Ford. Out of curiosity, is there any noticeable differences between your Fox emblem and the RAD one I posted the pictures of?

For comparison. The RAD is on the left and Fox on the right.Script is a little different.Been trying to sell these for a year and even advertised them in the swap section. Some fellow just saw them and bought them both.

You learn something everyday. How many times have I passed by both of these emblems and never noticed the difference.
