In late 1947, early 48 a steel shortage prompted Henry to use aluminum stampings for inner fenders and splash pans. This is one such. Replaced when car was restored with a steel panel ($300 used)due to the hood latch breaking in 1967 and had to drill and cut to make a flap to reach up and release. A good aluminum welder can fix it easily. Otherwise a perfect part. Can e-mail pic.
