battery disconnect
which style do you folks use and do you install on pos grnd battery post? or not use at all. Tom.

I have been using this style for the past 20 years with no problems. It attaches to (-) post.

I use a knife blade type and yes on a 12v system it connects to the ground side of battery.

I prefer the knife blade type as it will not melt if you crank the engine for an extended period of time.

I meant to say that it is attached to the (+) battery terminal as shown in photo. Car is converted to 12V. If you look carefully at the photos you can see where I added a copper sleeve to the (-) terminal so that the OEM battery cable would fit. Very easy to make a sleeve. It's a Walmart battery.

For whats its worth I used the rotary in the floor on my truck project. Had never used one before. Probably a lot more bather to install one of these than one on the cable.
