Period Model A (?) Replacement Ignition Switch Assembly with Armored Cable

Here is a ignition switch assembly with an armored cable that is most likely from the late 1920s or early 1930s. Very similar to Model A Ford style but it is not a "pop out" style switch-possibly an era replacement for Model As or other cars? The overall length about 32" long and the key is marked " Independent Lock Company". The key turns easily in the tumbler and the whole assembly looks to be in good, original condition.
