Default Front leaf spring

How many leaves should a '30 Victoria have? My car had 12 leaves ( 2 identical -the second from the top) I'm thinking I should only use one of each making Eleven. Right or wrong?
Thanks
Dick

If I remember correctly it came with 10 leaves. Things change over the decades. If the spring is in good shape and the ride height is good then there shouldn't be a problem.

On page 4-6 of the Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards it states "All Model A chassis had a ten leaf front spring with clipped corners at the spring leaf ends."
