I have seen them but have never used one. The problem with buying any used torque wrench is a concern of is it still within calibration?

Here is a list of nine currently on e-bay from $19.95 to $79.95.

We used one 50 years ago to tighten flywheels on outboard motors to 105 Lbs.

I have been known to buy an old tool and never use it. They are great conversation pieces when my grandson is digging in my old tool drawer. But I would rather spend as little as possible for them.

My question is: If it has metric how did it come from the 20-40's?

Metric has been used in Europe and other parts of the world forever.

Gary that is correct, but the costs for a Calibration Check and Calibration are:

$20 for a Torque wrench calibration check

$50 for a Torque wrench calibration

For a Snap-on QJR 3200 parts are available

For a Sunnen P50 no parts available cannot repair

It's just like the Sunnen, that my Son, Mitch//pa, sent me. It's perfectly calibrated & some agree that it's from the 60's.

Definitely a Jos. Sunnen torque wrench and a joy to use. Torque is set by using a wrench on bottom of handle hex and reading designated torque on barrel.
