Default 40-51 convertible frame

Hi,
Wanted to confirm that all 49-51 convertible frames had an X members. Just saw a 51 project that did not have an x member but was boxed. I don't believe this frame is correct for a convertible. Attached is a picture of what I Expected to see.
Just want to make sure the 51 convertible frame wasn't different.
