Default Pedal Covers

Recently bought a pair of pedal covers (brake & clutch) from Snyder's for $3.20 and still haven't figured out how to get them on without going to the extreme of removing the pedals. As I saw in an old thread, "they fit tightly" and I know you have to get the lip of the cover all the way around the pedal. So, does anyone have a a good non-frustrating plan for putting them on?

You might want to try talcum powder on the inside of the petal covers to help slide them on. I installed some on mine and didn't have to use anything, I just muscled them on.

A small dab of motor assembly lube did the job for me. Start on one end and work slow to allow the lip to work it's way over the pedal surface, great for tight fitting fire-wall grommets also.

If the are rubber, simply warm them in hot water! We did this with hard rubber tricycles tires :-)

I have tried all of the above methods - all work well, with some effort. And I suppose, a combination of two or three of the methods would enhance the installation even more. I especially like the 'warming the rubber' idea as being a good solution to the problem.

I could always get em on, I think, but the problem was they wouldn't stay on! This was15 years ago, maybe they're better now?
