Re: saved a pile
well, its not that warm out but ive been working on that pile. going to build myself a speedster. been gatherin parts from all over all winter. had to set cowl on today. I now relize how luck I am in that this cowl needs basically no work. its far from perfect but for what im going to do its just right. purchased a running chassis last fall from a rodder. things line up prity good. im still in search of the side panels if anyone close to me has a spare set don't have to be perfect oh yes and a set of plain painted stantions aswell. can get the repop stainless ones but id really like a set of originals that are painted

Re: saved a pile
Both the standard and deluxe windshield stanchions are stainless on that car. I have never seen plain ones. The standards are taller than the deluxe.

Would anyone understand me if I said that it reminded me of 'Trigger's Broom'? A British comedy classic.

Seen on another forum.. "If it casts a shadow. Don't throw it away."
It may not be useable, but someone may just want to know what it looks like! |

Re: saved a pile
Nice project!
My bet is it started life as a Standard Phaeton; no cowl lights. Can we get pictures of the front shock mounts, both upper and lower? They look interesting. Thanks! R / Roger. |
