Default 1931 Gas valve

Have slight leaking gas valve. The under hood type, Can I polish this up with toothpaste while still in the car? Thanks

Probably, as long as you can ensure no toothpaste gets into either line. If it was me, I would pull the valve, and do a proper job.

If you remove the valve you can then flush the rust from the tank that is making your valve leak. Do it right and many years with no problems :-)
