Engine stops when it is hot

Hi all! I have a 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe with the 239 cu in Flathead engine. A while ago, I have a problem, and that is that when the engine gets hot, it shuts down. In cold it starts very well, the car runs fine, but when the engine is hot, it shuts down. And I can only turn it on again, when I let it cool. Someone went through this and can you guide me?
