Signal Stat 900
I put one of those Signal Stat Model 900 turn signal controls on my A. Everything works great except when I hook up the blue wire (pilot light) the pilot light stays on continuously. It flashes on the control o.k. left right and emergency but when in neutral position it is on. Is this normal for the 900? One thought I had was that it makes a good indicator that my battery disconnect switch is on to remind me to turn it off when I get out. Any thoughts?

Re: Signal Stat 900
I had the same problem on my car with a Signal Stat 900. The problem was the flasher. The pilot terminal was normally closed rather than normally open like it should be. Check for voltage at the pilot (P) terminal with the turn signal off. If there is voltage, get a different flasher. I have had trouble finding a decent 6 volt flasher. The NAPA ones died after a short time. I finally found an old flasher on the internet which works fine.

Re: Signal Stat 900
I messed with flashers until I picked up two from Snyders. No problems since. Are you running LED tail-lights?

Re: Signal Stat 900
The flasher is no doubt the problem. I got it at NAPA. I will try Snyders. I had not considered the normally open/normally closed angle. Thanks.
