Yep, in my 31 Tudor
Hey Dave - Send me an email and i'll send you pictures and info of my instillation. It is going on some 15 winters now and doing a really great job.
Had to do it, my wife would not ride with me in cold weather. Sorry but I still don't know how to post pix here. Jim Gregory [email protected] |

Re: Hot water heat? Yep, gotta an Arvin
Hey Dave -
Sorry I can't do pix here on the Barn yet. Send me an email at [email protected] I'll be glad to send you details and pix a-plenty. My Arvin heater has served us for over 15 years and we drive it year round here in Maryland. Jim G. |

Re: Hot water heat?
I found an after market heater, it's call a Perfection. I am in the process of restoring it. I'm not too sure if it will fit without taking up too much leg room. It's a nice unit with a large chrome grill. Now if you want hot heat you can install a Chinese diesel heater, they are on eBay for 99 dollars. I would install one but want to keep car 6volt. They are worth looking at. If I remember some of the older add on heaters were gas. The early VW Bugs had them.

Re: Hot water heat?
We built a small hot water sys under the front seat. circulates hot water from outlet line and uses a 2 speed computer type fan. Very small unit and quiet. Puts out enough heat but not enough to blow you out of the car. One of Ron Cloats designs. Now if you want it to get warm you will need a thermostat or it will not get very warm on a cold day.
