A likely but unpleasant rumor says this is the last Hershey. Hershey Estates won't allow it from here on. Sad to see so many old traditions fade away.

restoman, I have been going to HERSHEY every year since 1968 and it seems like every year there is some sort of rumor like this. When you read in the Antique Automobile that HERSHEY will be cancelled, then you can believe it. Until then keep packing your bags.

I have heard similar rumors over the years.
One persistent rumor has been that it was moving to Philadelphia or Allentown.
I guess we'll see.

Wherever it goes.......I'm goin'.......

I was thinking the same thing. One would assume this has to be a large portion of that area's economy. I can't see how it would benefit anyone if it was moved or cancelled.

Plus, this is down time for the park and I can't see them losing any major revenue during Oct. by allowing the AACA to use their parking lot.

As a kid, I use to love seeing the license plates from all over the US and abroad. A few times I saw Alaska plates.

I once saw a car with plates from Australia. Seems like a lot of effort to same you from renting a car. LOL!

Why would HER-CO. not want the AACA there? Tourist season is waining by October, so it brings an influx of people into HERSHEY World, with money to spend. Another big money maker for them is $15 a pop for parking, each day. HERSHEY is the perfect venue for everybody.

Looks like Hershey Park has been sold my sources tell me. Everything is status quo for this year but for next year the new owners want the swap meet to run Monday-Friday leaving the park available for visitors over the weekend. Again, nothing is cast in stone but this is what I have heard …..

It won't be the last one, 2022 will start on Monday and end on Friday. No weekend show. Hershey wants to keep the park opened longer on weekends in the Fall so we need to be out of there on Friday.

The weather has been nicer and nicer for that week the past few years, I can see why they want the park open.
IF true, that might actually be better for the flea market, if most would stay until Friday.

Hi John:

When you mentioned you've received your credential envelope, did you get your stickers, etc. already?

Thanks,

Tim

If you have arrived the weekend before like I have, you do get to see the red, and chocolate fields filled with vehicles from people attending Hershey Park amusement rides.
So, there maybe some value in the amusement park being open on the weekends early in October.
