Re: Kiwi Quickchange & CA data plates
You young ones are way ahead of me on this computer stuff, its taken me years just learn how to put a picture on , Watch out now that im started. Looking forward to the Vancover meet & looks like we just might make it to Bonniville for a day after the boat trip, Get to see my quickies running again & Catch a few of the 4-e-4 guys, Some of which are shipping their vehicles to NZ for the "Rebel " A" 2011 NZ national meet April which this time is a 7 day tour around the top 1/2 of the mainland.
Going to be lots of fun. web site www.modelafordclub.co.nz for details. Derek, |

Hey Derek,
How about a picture of the CA data plates. I have a Canadian Phaeton 1930. Do I need one of your data plates. I have one of your quick Change units and can verify that they are a great purchase. |

Re: Kiwi Quickchange & CA data plates
Racer and/or Quickchange,
If you don't mind could you help me with the setup of a '48 era banjo quickchang? Quickchang or Derek, I bought it from you in January of 2011 and am just now getting around to setting it up. I had to bore out the inside of the pinion race landing to allow for the pinion gear to slip past. I'm trying to install the pionion race but even after freezing the race the bore is .008" to small. I'm afraid to push the race with that much undersize, what do you guys think? I was thinking about honing the bore to get .004" to .005" more relief. Also how do you recommend checking for pinion to ring gear clearance? Any and all help would be accepted. 55 years ago when I knew everything this wan't a problem but the older I get the dumber I get. Thanks for any help, Jim |
