40 Conv. latch finishes
Are the door post latch strikers painted body color or what finish? Also same question for the dove tail recepticle on the door post and the trunk latch on the trunk floor.
Another Q. I have a 1.25 x 1.25 x 1 inch rubber block with a hole through it for the trunk handle. Its too fat to fit under the handle on the outside of the trunk lid or does it go under the lid and push up on the bolt. If that is where it goes it would seem tht it woudn't stay there. I can't find these answers in the Ford books that I have. Thanks for any replies. Peteva |

The female striker (mounted in the door was left natural finish at the factory. However, in reality, they did on occasion receive some over-spray. Concourse accepted norm is natural finish. The male trunk latch and attaching screws on the floor of your trunk are also body color. That rubber block you speak of should actually be foam rubber. The hole was designed a bit small to keep it in place on the handle (shaft). It was meant to be a weather seal. |
