Just to expand on Sheldon's post, to get to 'manage attachments', you click on the 'paperclip' icon which appears with lots of other symbols above the box you've written your text in. I'm a real computer dummy...took me ages to suss it out, now it's a piece of cake.

I think the the main thing that should be mentioned is that size matters. For whatever reason, photos that can be used just about anywhere else can to too large to post on the Barn and will give you a misleading error message. The simplest way for an amateur to shrink the photos down to usable size is to email them to yourself. Most email packages reduce the pixel count to improve efficiency. Other than that, try to figure out how to use "PAINT" or some other utility that has a resizing feature.

As said above, use the PAPER CLIP ( ) to post pictures that you have saved on your computer.

To post MOST pictures (in a "URL" format) that are already posted ANYWHERE on the internet, click on the "YELLOW SQUARE with MOUNTAINS" ( ), and follow the subsequent instructions that are SIMILAR to posting pictures from your computer with the PAPER CLIP.

Also, as said above: MANY times when a picture is TOO large in size to post here, e-mailing it to yourself will re-size to a FordBarn-friendly dimension.

Just a little friendly advice from a picture-postin' fool! DD

Your picture file is too big.
When you open the manage attachments window to choose file, scroll down to see JPEG maximum of 585.9 KB 800x600 pix.
You have to resize your image.

THANK YOU for this. Exactly the right instructions for posting photos here. Very much appreciated you taking the time to show the "Go Advanced" and the Paper Clip as that was the missing gateway to adding much needed photos that we all need/want to share. Maybe FordBarn makes this easier for all of us.
