RoadsterA, yes, the race car reliability run is in the stadium, where the last (or first) row of the swap meet ends (or begins), it's a matter of how you look at it, that's the stadium.

We sleep in our trailers across the street on the old airport runway. We use the showers in the employee locker rooms for $5(I think). and we always bring our mopeds(Hershey Haulers as we call them) to get from the trailers to the gates. Don't bring golf carts they don't allow them.

Hershey is about 90% COOL OLD STUFF, with considerable early Ford content.
Carlisle...maybe 5 or 10%, but show id big enough that you will find things if you keep moving. View Carlisle as a warmup run to get your shoes broken in and your muscles pumping...and don't spend any $$ there unless you really like your find, because there will be more and better at Hershey!

When I do Carlisle & Hershey I book a room "early" near Hershey for Carlisle & near Carlisle for Hershey and save enough to pay the gas & meals while there. I did that for years gathering parts to restore my 36 Cabriolet & the only downside was when the search was over. Its overwelming even after doing it many times!

Watch out for the the lazy SOB on mobility scooter that sure can walk but have forgotten how to. Enjoy the walk at your own pace and stroll in and out of stalls , Find a seat when needed sample some food. And pity those on a scooter in such a hurry they don't stop to talk or enjoy the atmosphere, remember its a social event too.
Mobility scooters are just a money spinner for the tired.
