40 Mercury Broken Grille tooth
Hey all you gurus
My 40 merc has a broken top grille tooth. I believe the grille is pot metal and is otherwise in good shape. Is 2 part epoxy worth a try? Other better ideas? Thank you

Re: 40 Mercury Broken Grille tooth
worth a try. I had to cut a small section out of my '60 ford stamped aluminum grill to get to the hood latch. Reinstalled it with clear 2 ton epoxy. It did discolor a bit but has lasted almost 4 yrs.

Re: 40 Mercury Broken Grille tooth
It is worth a try, but it did not work on my grill. It held until winter, I tried it again in the spring, but it did not last very long.

Re: 40 Mercury Broken Grille tooth
If 2 part epoxy OR J B Weld don’t work, check out “Muggy Weld” on google/YouTube. Not sure IF anyone here can vouch for it?? There are
Some companies out there that can fix it!!! |

I think that if you could find someone experienced in this it would be better than trying to do it yourself (unless you are that skilled person). |
