Default 53 Ranchwagon fuel sending unit

Thinking I am going to need a fuel sending unit for my Ranchwagon. So far I haven't been able to locate one for the wagons. I am looking at one for the F100 and it looks like it might work. Mounting is the same, and it is a short arm sender, which looksl like mine. Has anyone found a source for the ranchwagon fuel sender? As a side note, the fuel tank seems quite small for a station wagon.

I thought the aftermarket units were somewhat universal and you modified them to fit. Are there different ones different years/models?

As JSeery indicates, I had to purchase a universal one (can't recall if I got it from Bob Drake???) and I bent and shortened the arm to mimic the original. I tried to duplicate the arc of motion, and hope for the best.

The new one seemed to be pretty cheaply made, and I will say it's not too accurate. But when it shows something more than 1/4 tank, I know I have some fuel.

The parts book shows 1952-55 station wagon 6 volt B5AF-9275-A, I think this is the same number as the 1948-55 truck.

Here's one on Epay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nos-1955-Fo...lco2Qs&vxp=mtr
