Default A Public 'Thank You!' to Bert's Model A

Hey folks,

I know that this has been heard here many times before, but I wanted to take a minute to publicly sing the praises of Bert's Model A Center in Denver (www.modelastore.com).

I won't go into all the boring details, but I got a rebuilt Generator from Bert's that I had some difficulty with. Steve went out of his way to get me a replacement, and was very patient with me (more patient than I deserved) in waiting for me to get around to testing it and sending back the troublesome one. My new one is running and charging great.

I am in the mail order business, and I thought that my customer service was pretty good, but the folks at Bert's take customer service up a notch. I fully understand why so may on FordBarn express so much loyalty towards Bert's. I know that I will be a customer for a very long time.

Thanks Steve!

Ken

I agree, Berts is the best. Hoping to make a trip to Denver in the spring. Berts is definately one place I will be spending a couple of hours. Since I am preparing to get back to work on the delivery I should have a list of original parts I need by then. Rod

Rod, I think you will need more than a couple hours. I stopped on a Saturday several years ago and was there all the time they were open and that wasn't long enough for me.

Next time I'll stop on a weekday so I can stay longer.

I have been there 3 times in the last 25 years. I am always amazed, and yes 2 hours will barely scratch the surface. Thankfully my list will likely be short as I have about 85% of the delivery parts. Pickup/ truck mirrors will be high on the list. Rod

Berts is wonderful, when my center main cap babbitt shattered early in the summer, he was willing to send me a pile of main caps so I could band aide it till winter. He sifted through literally hundreds to find the ones with the best babbitt. it was a crazy idea, but he supported me and it worked !

Berts has really lousy hours on the week ends. I was there in Sept. Sat. was some kind of street fair or something that involved a bunch of Hippyisch people. Two weeks later, I went back to Denver, but after 2:00 pm, I was leaving Monday so I stopped by at 8:00 AM. Only to find out he doesn't open till 9 AM. I had to get on the road, so alas and alack! I missed Berts this year.I'll catch it next trip!

I have to agree with MOT...Steve and the gang at Bert's are the best for those hard to find original parts...Just where they all come from who knows and who cares...Bert's got it if you need it!

Below is a print out of what is stated on their web site. So Monday is not a day to visit.

I too agree they are the best for service and parts.

"We are open 9-4 Tues- Fri and 8- noon Saturday MOUNTAIN TIME!!!"

I've been going there for over 7 years. Every part that my dad hasn't found for me, I have purchased from Steve at Berts. Besides having amazing customer service, incredible knowledge and one of the coolest shops I've ever been in they are all stand up dudes. Stoked to have them right up the road.

Everything I have gotten from Bert's has been very good. A while back, they went out of their way to get a very small order off to me on a Saturday. I needed the part the next Tuesday as I was leaving with the car later in the week for a 2 week tour.

When I was restoring my Tudor, I was missing a small obscure part in the back corner of the inside of the body. This part was not being reproduced and they were able to find a good used original part for me and the price was very fair.

I highly recommend Bert's.

My experience.

Bert's not only have a good supply of used parts, they stay on top of the new parts also. You can trust if they sell it, it is the best reproduction available.

Several years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Steve for an interview for an article for the Model A Times. Great guy spent the day with me talking about taking over the business from his father who had passed away unexpectedly. Steve came home from college and picked up the reins of the business and the rest is history as they say. Great service good selection of parts, the "junk yard" outside is a great place to explore too!
