Again, I can't say enough about the cab and frame. It was rough. Ashley Pike and crew @ Maaco in Portland made it happen. The carb was freshened up by Ken in C.T.
If I were rich I would pay other people to do everything too. It sure is pretty

Let me make one thing clear right now. I saved for 2 years to buy this project truck. Never rebuilt a flathead or banjo rear end. Yeah, I could attempt a rebuild and would take me probably a year to complete with the learning curve and the few hours a week I have to do the work.

I'm an HVAC/R tech by trade, and this project is mostly paid for by my overtime and side jobs. Not like I realy care what you think!! You got some damn nerve making B.S. statements. There is always one numb nut who happens on to this website with out a clue.

Further more this web site is for spreading knowledge and growing the hobby. Makes sense to me to have someone who's been around and worked on flatheads and early fords most of their life to do the work. And Hell yeah I'll support any one like that with my hard earned money. Money made with long days and late nights and time away from home. your so clueless

i don't care who did the work or how it got paid for; that is beautiful work and i applaud both the craftsmanship and the vision behind it.

Thank's Ken/atch, and yes that is what its all about. Restoring an old Ford as best YOU can and getting the right help/education along the way. Someday I hope to be that senior member passing down some knowledge to the youngsters.

Iv'e learned more about Flathead Fords on this site that any. I sure wish my dad was still around. He was one of those guys that knew a Flathead. He raced them in the 50s at all the roundy round tracks in MI.And you think i would have paid more attention. Just like some normal kid, it didn't interest me. Now, that i'm 52 and restoring old trucks, i can't get enough info from you guys. It's hard work with all research and talking to people that makes the world of flatheads so great. Keep pushin on !!! Wow, that's sweet! Very well done.
My build is also financed with side money, sweat and love. I'm one of those who enjoys the build as well as the drive later.

You have a very empty photo album to be making such rough comments.
The Fordbarn is a place for friends to share knowledge and to further the enjoyment of the keeping and restoring of old Fords.
The man has a very nice vehicle that he is restoring, he should not feel compelled to defend himself for not being a body man a machinist and an expert painter. He has the talents to assemble a high quality build and deserves to be allowed to be proud of it.

Grill from a distance looks good, but not bad up close. Can't complain for 70+ years.
Next month will post new pic's as I get it closer every week. Got my windshield frame back from powdercoating today, very nice. Red's headers are on the way

Nothing like a detailed flathead. Bought one for fifteen bucks in 1960 and put it in a 51 Ford Victoria and drove it from Sunnyvale Ca to Mexico and it never missed a beat nor did it burn a quart of oil. Drove it for five more years and it still didn't burn a quart of oil. Couldn't hear it run when it was running.
