Default 1938 V8 1.5t Wheel Stud and Lug Nut

Friends,

Any idea where I can find a set of these in preferably in reverse thread? Looking for the larger size for the full 1.5t truck.

Thank you,

Tom

Any large truck supply should be able to get Budd wheel nuts and studs in both right and left hand threads. Another source would be Michael at 3rd Gen Automotive:

As a last resort I believe that Mac's list them.

Are the studs for front or rear?

The Ford part number for the left hand threaded front stud is 51-1108. This cross refers to NWRA X1051 which cross refers to BWP (Brake and Wheel Parts Company) M103. It is 2 1/4” long with a 1 3/64” shoulder. Any better parts seller can get it for you. The nut is the standard 3/4” x 16 tpi left hand thread Budd nut. Stu

Is this the big nut that takes a 1 1/2" wrench? I have a bunch of used ones from my ww2 dodge era. Free if you like

Same as Dodge military nuts. Somebody near him probably has coffee cans full of them too that wouldn’t cost postage. Cadmium plated new from Napa (etc) wouldn’t be expensive though. Stu
