Well, we should all realize at this point, the Coker family doesnt own this tire conglomerate anymore.

Owned by a large Japanese investment firm.

This is a picture of one of the tires. I have another one with as much on it, but I don't have a picture of it.

I suppose something like this is an option, but you shouldn’t need it with new tires.

I looked at the tires when the dealer got them in but couldn't tell anything about them because they were covered in plastic and had that blue gunk all over them. When I picked them up after they were mounted, they still had the blue gunk on them, and he told me to use 409 or Dawn to remove it when I was ready to put them on the car. I was still working on the brakes and steering so I didn't get them cleaned up for about a week. The next time I buy tires I will make sure that they are cleaned up so that I can look at them. I would have never paid for them if I knew what they look like.

Got a call yesterday from the tire dealer that Coker was shipping me two new tires. He said they should be here next week.

Glad they came through with replacing the tires , it is disappointing after spending $$$ not to get what you paid for. Sounds like they made that way and got through final inspection.

I bought tires from Coker years ago and could never get them to balance ( they were
out of round). "Just for info only" Diamond Back Tires says never use a bleach product
to clean white tires. They say to use Simple Green cleaner. That is what I use also, and
does an excellent job of cleaning.

Grumps, Glad you got that fixed. When you get the new tires, check them out before mounting. It looks to me like the white walls picked up the color from being in contact with the black walls of a neighbor tire. Are you going to send the damaged tires back?

I don't know what the status is on the two damaged tires. I wouldn't mind keeping them for spares (both fenders on my A carry spares) but I couldn't afford to buy two new ones for them. I don't know if they will let me get them at a reduced price. I'll find out Monday when I talk to the dealer.

I wonder if this thread stirred action from Coker.
