All sorted now Bruce, many thanks.
Still do not know why I received 2 copies of the same issue?

This does not explain it, but maybe makes you scratch your head even more.

I received two copies of the Spring 2022 issue of Classic Trains this past month.

Checked the mailing labels on both -- exactly the same. Sent off an email to Customer Service and have not gotten a reply.

Gave the extra issue to a friend who enjoys the steam era of railroading.

I still do not know why i received 2 copies of the same issue?

I guess that eliminates the USPS screwing up on this one.

Not screwing up, but a party to it nonetheless. When the embargo is put into force, the mail in the system is sent back to its origin, which in this case is to the printer. When the embargo is then lifted, in this case the printer, rather than the regular mailing service used, sends out the magazines once again. That explains the different envelope and why some may receive two copies as what is received back when the embargo is implemented is not considered reliable enough to ensure that everyone in the affected countries will receive at least one copy.

Graham,
In the meantime, I'm rooting for New Zealand's 'END GAME' to repeat and win the "GIANT NUT" again in the BATTLEBOT competition....

I think everyone had better get on board with the digital issue, because with club membership declining and the cost to produce that magazine, its just a matter of time until the print issue is about as available as a bob drake reproduction.
