A engines were used in the Model A from 28-31. They are gravity fed
B engines came in 32-34 Models they have a fuel pump and many "improvements" that make them rated at 50 hp not 40hp like the A. There are lots of differences between them I'm just giving you the Cliff Notes. The search button and Google are your friend if you are interested in a more detailed answer.

I'm in! looking for more stock and low key builds rather than the way out hotrod motors on the Bangers threads on HAMB.

I would like to join as well. I have a BB dump truck and building a 28 roadster with a B engine and tranny. Is it difficult to drop a b engine and tranny in a model a frame?

I'm not sure if I'm going to use it. This engine was assembled in the late 50's and never run. I bought it from a guy who recently acquired it, took it to a machine shop had it disassembled, tolerances checked reassembled and run.

Let me know if you don't. I'm always on the look out for homemade hop up parts. That motor has some really neat details on the outside. Whats on the inside?

I had some success over the weekend. Got the 32 axle under the 31 roadster. Once I get the brakes, drums and tires on, it will be time to put the B in.
