Are '47-'48 Business and Club Coupe decklids and 1/4 windows interchangable, also will a sedan door door fit a business coupe?

All Coupe decklids are the same

Fordor front doors= Business coupe
Tudor front doors = Deluxe coupe (Club coupe)

In high school I put the club coupe opening 1/4 windows from a post war Ford in my 41 business coupe which had fixed 1/4 windows

There are 2 deck lids. The lid from the 2 dr sedan will not fit a coupe. The 2 dr sedan has a sloping lid. The coupes and conv have a lid with what can be described as a hump in it. Ford used these same lids through 48

decklids and 1/4 windows fixed or closed are interchangable for both coupes but the sedan 1/4 windows will not fit either coupe. They are a lower profile than the coupes. I had a rusted out bottom on a quareter window of the opening type on my club coupe and be cause they are not as common down here in NZ as the business type I ended up cutting the bottom of an opening sedan type and welding it to match the top of of the rusted one.

Thanks for the info. The point about the 1/4 windows is interesting, with them looking similiar to the sedan windows but not being the same.

on interchangeability, my 41 door latches are the same as my 48 parts car. I hope this helps.
