Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearings
Fred,
I help out when I can ... I donated mileage to get an original Center Door to the MTFCA Museum in Richmond, IN .... You never know who is going to win, it looks like I will be in Texas around auction time. Jim |

Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearings
Update: We have had several questions submitted about buying multiple ticket lots, meaning if you can buy one ticket for $5 or five tickets for $20 - yes, $40 would buy 10 tickets, $60 buys 15 tickets, $80 buys 20 tickets, etc. The more you buy the better your odds.
Thanks, Fred

Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearings
As of right now, we've gotten entries from 25 different states and three foreign countries. We've had entries from Texas, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut, Tennessee, Kentucky, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Illinois, Mississippi, Wisconsin, California, South Carolina, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Alaska, Massachusetts, Florida, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Canada, Mexico and believe it or not, New Zealand!
Hey, someone's gotta win it and it might as well be you. There's still time to stick a stamp on an envelope and slip $20 inside and make it to Texas before the drawing June 8. You can't win unless you enter! Fred

Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearings
Note to our Canadian friends and other out of country entries: Please do not send a personal check; if you wish to enter the raffle drawing please send a U.S. Dollar denoninated Money Order. We just discovered that our bank charges us $35 to handle a $20 Canadian check! Money Orders only if you live outside the U.S.
Only 9 more days until the drawing; if you plan to enter, get your payment in the mail ASAP! Thanks, Fred

After the we defrosted the envelope it sailed right through the bank with no problems! You are one of about 10 who has mailed in cash. Banks seem to like taking cash deposits! Thanks, Fred

Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearings
Thanks, Washington is fine. I included email, phone, address and it went out yesterday. The handle (screen name) is a hold over from a ford truck forum I"ve been on for many years - going back to the days I still lived in Montana.

Re: Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearings
Got my five chances several weeks ago. Need some luck as the Leatherback I just bought needs an engine. Badly repaired stud with crack into water passage. Had lots of water in pan at one time. It ran pretty good but I do not see how.
Not much luck so far with the first A.

I've always been amazed that many original Model A engines still ran even though they were severely abused over the years; infrequent oil changes, ran on white gas or kerosene during the depression, etc. Just goes to show you how well Henry built 'em! Fred
