Robe Rail Question
Several years ago, I was given a robe rail, less brackets, that was supposed to come from a Model A. It is the correct length and made of four cords twisted around a full-length spring. On the ends, just before where it was attached to the brackets, are gold crochet caps, the exact same material that was used as finishing caps on the assist straps. The rope is original and faded, and the crochet is still sewn to the rope. All Model A robe rails I've seen go straight into the brackets and do not have a crochet accent. Is it even from a Model A? Does anyone have an original robe rail that has the gold crochet accent? If so, what is the year, model and interior scheme of your car? A photo would be great!

Re: Robe Rail Question
I have not seen a robe rope with the end caps you mention. The only ones I'm aware of had the wire wraps at the end as shown on my original rope.
