Are you sure your radiator fins are steel instead of copper or brass? This is just a thought but I believe their is a way to blacken brass or copper chemically giving a flat black appearance. This may help prevent the hinderance of the heat dissipation that would be caused by paint. Hopefully there is someone out there who would know more about this and could elaborate more on the subject as I certainly am no chemist. Regards Cam
