Default Pedal differences

I was looking through some foot pedals and noticed there is a stamped steel pedal pad and a cast pad(or might be forged). Does anyone know the year applictions for stamped verses cast? Thanks.

Stamped is later, like 1931. I don't know if it goes back to the 1930 models, but it would be in the standards.

RG&JS page 7-3 Revised 2011

Pedal designs, Early one-piece forged (top), two-piece for
ged
(center)
, stamped design (bottom)

..................Brake and clutch pedals used through February 1928 were smooth with no ribs on the foot surface and were one piece forgings. All pedals thereafter were ribbed. .............................................

............................The 1928 through 1930 ribbed pedals were made of Two forgings welded together. The final version was designed in February 1930, but was not introduced until November 1930. The ribbed surface was stamped steel and welded to the forged arm. .................................

This is yet another example of just how invaluable the Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards book is to our hobby.
