Default Distributor ID.

I have not been on here for a few years but always got good help here . Trying to identify a Y-Block distributor . I thought it may be for a 1957 Ford 292 but not sure , here are the numbers ect. I got off of it .---Brand script is FOMOCO / FEU 12127 M --832 or maybe 83z . That's all I can find on it . Thanks for any help .

Okay , It looked about like a Y-Block one so I thought it was . I do have one from a later FE 360 but I thought it looked shorter so I guess I better take another look at it .

According the Ford-Y-Block book by James Eickman, it says a
FEU-12127-M is for a '58 292 Y-Block.

I found some old notes that say the FEU in the part number isn't a reference to the engine type, rather the "FE" indicates the distributor has ball bearing breaker plates, the "U" = '58, and per the parts catalog the "M" as the others posted indicates it fits a 292.
