Just joining the community. Excited for prewar coolness!
This restorations will certainly take quite a while to complete, but I am committed to trying my hand. I have built many engines and am working towards becoming transmission proficient.
Anyway, I am in Northern Utah and I am the new proud owner of a 1941 Tudor Sedan in Lochaven Green. I know that the Sedan Coupe was more "stylish" and that most people do not like the 1941, but I am in love. The grill is just so happy and positive. I will eventually have an all original restoration, but plan to have a 59A or 8BA hot rod engine in it for a few years before having a correct engine swapped in. I will be doing all the work except the body and paint work and probably upholstery. It depends on how the headliner install goes. If anyone has any input or interior pieces for this vehicle, please feel free to let me know! Thank you for having such a wonderful community for me to join! It's a two door. So it's all cool. Not that I don't like a fordor.
There is/was a green 41 turtle back out of clearwater fl that was super neat. A neighboring club neighboring. Bit of stock lowering and surf rack. Super neat. Lot of work there, vision. . Last edited by Tinker; 12-03-2021 at 11:17 PM. |

Re: Just joining the community. Excited for prewar coolness!
Welcome, I like your project, the, the ‘41 just grows on you.
My ‘41 was originally Lochaven but was painted by the previous owner in a 1960’s Ford color called Tundra, very close to original. Take a look at my album to see pictures of my coupe. Here a link to upholstery samples. https://www.joesantiqueauto.com/ You also should get this book it helped me a lot with my ‘41. https://shop.efv8.org/collections/fo...book-softbound I’ve purchased items from C&G Ford, Third Gen Automotive(a member here), Van Pelts(also a member) and others I have missed. |

Re: Just joining the community. Excited for prewar coolness!
Welcome to the Barn! When I was a junior in high school, '52 in Eastern Idaho, I had a '41 2dr sdn, it was maroon. The car had a Meyers/Welch rebuilt engine in it when my uncle gave me the car. Unfortunately the engine overheated one summer day which caused the block to crack. I pulled the trans out of the car to put in a '41 convertible that a friend had. We pushed the '41 2dr into a gully, that was a local dumping area outside of town.
