If you are talking about a high amp voltage reducer, that's just one of the parts of the puzzle. The vibrator in the radio may or may not be compatible with a reverse polarity 12 volt system. (not positive ground any more)

If you have experience working with electronics, change the tubes to 12v, i.e. 6v6 becomes 12v6, 6SJ7 becomes 12SJ7 etc. and the B+ is modified to reduce voltage to between 100v and 120v. Change vibrator to solid state. Most radios will work on negative ground 12v with these changes. Sams are available if you can deduce the manufacturer and model number.

The $525 route is also available where your radios is gutted of it's electronics and a tiny AM-FM boards is substituted with many features including Bluetooth for your cell. These have widely positive reviews.
