Default Bad Ground on 1 parking light

Installed Bratton's new headlight reflectors.
Now parking light on driver's side doesn't work.
If I touch inside of parking light socket to headlight shell it lights up.
Both the pass side lights work along w/driver side headlight.
What did/didn't I do correctly????????????

You have lost ground to that socket, I do not think the reflector is the ground for the lights so you need to check the wiring for that socket and fix that.

I had a similar problem, so I ran an extra ground wire. I long ago ran extra grounds into my headlights, but I had to figure our how to connect them to the reflectors. I finally just stripped back about 3/4 inch, laid it alongside the parking light socket, and snugged it down tight with a zip-tie. I haven't had a problem since.

The light sockets should ground through the reflector and focus screw and spring, as well as where it touches the shell.

Since there are so many surfaces in the path to ground, before the lights find ground, I soldered a ground wire to each socket, joined them in the headlight bucket and ran a new ground wire directly to the chassis.
