Looks like it's gonna miss us up here north of Brainerd. Still cold and windy and grey outside. It's still better than the snow they're getting further south. Of all the winters dor getting stuck in Minnesota.

I was in Wal Mart the other day and got talking to a guy in the fishing tackle section. I thought he was window shopping for next spring, but he said he is going ice fishing just about every day. He said there is still 3 1/2 ft of clear ice on the lakes up here. It's hardly been above freezing at all and Tuesday it was 1 below when I got up. We're still making ice at that rate. I hear they're thinking of pushing the opening of fishing season back to the 4th of July.

Lanny; I'm glad I'm not down where you are and I think the wind is just fine the way it is.

In Green Bay we got 7.5 inches of snow last night and they are predicting 7 to 14 inches more thru Monday morning.

This morning I thought the windows were fogged up. Turned out the wind was blowing so hard that there was a complete white-out outside. Luckily it looks like we are not going to get as much snow here as southern MN. Mpls news this afternoon was saying that we are probably going to have a new, all time record for April snowfall.

I remember a couple of times back in the fifties we'd get snow in May....This was in St. Paul....

Its a pretty miserable spring here in Sask. too. I think I spent maybe half an hour outside in that cold wind today. 3 years ago yesterday I was out test driving the 52 Merc on mostly dry ground on a warm sunny day.
Good times are coming...soon.

I know I'll hear from everyone later, it does get so hot here that the 50 has to stay in the garage. July and August the last couple of year haven't been suited to a no a/c car.

I have a buddy who's a lineman in sw minn. He's really busy after 70 poles went down leaving small towns in the area without power. Roads littered from Nebraska to South Dakota with jack knifed trucks. Crazy weather... heard there is a contract out on that damn groundhog. ha ha

I know this is a joke... but sometimes Wisconsin is a bit interesting.

I guess I could have taken the Merc out for a spin early in the morning when everything was still frozen dry. But by the time I got outside it was melting snow and a few mud patches so the Merc stayed indoors.

Well, it's official. We broke the record for snowfall for the month of April.
This is the most snowfall recorded for April in our area since record keeping began.

Also, we have had a few luke warm days, but it has been colder than normal here
by about 20 to 30 degrees, for the last 2 months. I hope things start getting back
to normal pretty gol darn soon,,, getting cabin fever here.

In Alberta, where there are now mopeds, motorcycles, and rat rods out on spring roads, we're already counting the number of days left in the season before we have to put our vintage cars away for winter and hockey season.

Storm finished in Green Bay with 23.7 inches of snow. Second most snow fall on record. In 1888 there was a storm with 29 inches. Last year 74 degrees?

Started up here about 5 today and they say we could get an inch of snow. Guess the Merc stays in the shed for a bit longer. I worked on the 53 parts car and got the front fender off today. Didn't break anything other than a few rusted bolts Ihad to cut off. Good thing I am not charging by the hour though.

I don't want a response or want to set off a rant here on.

There is a difference between weather and climate. Think of it this way. What your wearing today is like weather. Tomorrow you'll be wearing something else. Now go into your closet and look at your wardrobe. Your wardrobe is like climate.

I'm not advocating either way. But there is a difference.

I'm wearing shorts today. It's 47 degrees here.

This so called 'man made global warming/climate change has evolved into a religion. Anymore, it has nothing to do with the climate. It's all about social engineering and the growing of government....

A little warming here today. The wind dropped, sun finally came out and the temp hit near 40 degrees so we saw some good melting today. Nice weather to work in the shop with the South doors open and enjoy the heat. Nice day to fly too. I took this shot about noon today.

Nice spread! Very cool picture. You must have a good drone. I know some have elevation limits.

Thanks, no doubt this Autel drone has it's limits but I have not pushed them yet. This shot was only around 300 feet up. Its got plenty of of altitude left after that.
I used it to shoot this "leaf tour" video following the 52 Mercury this past fall.

cool shot ralph, can even see the curve of the earth! so much for those flat earth folks! all those big sheds, you need to wall off a small space you can heat for winter work on the merc. no such thing as too much insulation, and its money well spent

Would you believe all those sheds are full and I need still more space? This farming hobby keeps cutting into my old rusty car occupation. Actually the little red shed where the 53 is parked has an oil furnace with a little insulation and I can get the temperature up to a workable level if I have a job that really needs doing.

75 in my 28 x 36 all winter. got some used freezer panels for insulation, 6"thick, 4x9, cut to fit between the studs. heat with wood, never seen it below 49 even when out of town for a week in mid winter, usually about 62 in the morning. money well spent
